Kristie White

I discovered project management in Human Resources, yet I didn't know that's what I was doing. Because I had not been exposed to it or trained in it, I didn't realize how strong the methodology could be. Fast forward to today and I have used project management in every role of my career - including HR professional, HR Manager, HR Director, and HR Consultant  - and in a variety of settings and transformations. I have used it in annual projects, acquisitions, mergers, technology implementations, communications, and employee service enhancements. I've also used it as a business owner and have developed a deeper understanding of the push and pull between labor and management.

I have designed HRPMO University's project management course on PMI's methodology because PMI has been the steward in project management standards for decades. But I've enhanced the learning experience for HR professionals to acknowledge Human Resources standards and challenges, and integrate other disciplines that are often necessary for a successful strategy. In this way, you learn how project management fits into the entire structure of implementing your Human Resources Strategy. Our goal is to provide a holistic understanding and skill set that provides the technical structure of project management methodology but elevates it through a broader understanding of its place and usefulness at work, on the job, and in executing HR Strategy and strategic planning. Whatever your career plans, knowledge of project management will enhance your path.
