Human Resources Project Management

Believe it or not, Human Resources (HR) is a department heavily involved in projects. Some result from changes in laws, some from new organizational initiatives, some from newly negotiated labor agreements, and some from changing market conditions and the need for talent. It's constant, demanding and ever changing. In this course, you will build a strong foundation in project management that is focused through the lens of HR - which is slightly different because of its high visibility and impact on the workforce.

Our HR Project Management course automatically includes coaching by request at no additional charge. This course is structured on the principles of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) produced by Project Management Institute (PMI), the global standard for project management professionals. Our training is designed to meet the training requirements for the Project Management Professional exam through PMI, if desired.

Kristie White

I discovered project management in Human Resources. Yet I didn't realize what it was or how strong the methodology was because I had never been exposed or trained in it. Fast forward to today and I have used project management throughout my career in a variety of settings and transformations. I have used it in annual projects, acquisitions, mergers, technology implementations, communications, and employee service enhancements. I've also used it as a business owner and understand the push and pull between labor and management.

I have designed HRPMO University's project management course to enhance the learning experience for HR professionals. Our goal is to provide a holistic understanding and skill set that provides the technical structure of project management methodology but elevates it through a broader understanding of its place and usefulness at work, on the job, and in executing HR Strategy and strategic planning. Whatever your career plans, knowledge of project management will enhance your path.
