To start thinking strategically, it's crucial to become comfortable with the language, terminology, and tools used for diagnosing and solving problems that evolve into strategic initiatives. This course is intended to build that foundation. All other courses at HRPMO University depend on this foundational knowledge and tools to give you the context needed to apply these concepts effectively in HR strategy and problem-solving.

This course is free because it is essential to building other skills and methods. Therefore, this course is open at all times - for you to begin your upskilling, to revisit if you need a refresher, to share with others as an insight into our training, and to help you revisit from time to time when a new project or initiative is on the horizon. It is prerecorded and includes downloadable resources.

Converting your Human Resources strategy into business language is essential for securing the support and recognition of your organization's executive team. Without this translation, the executive team may not appreciate the value of strategic HR initiatives, leading to reduced funding and resources. Insufficient support from leadership can hinder HR's ability to implement its strategy and achieve a return on investment for the organization. The process starts with translating the strategy into business language at the organizational level. In this module, you will learn about key business terms used in strategic discussions and how to effectively communicate between Human Resources and the executive suite.
